Small family, Big love!

To me brazilian family means diversity. In Brazil, the miscegenation is in the blood of Brazilians, in their houses too. It is possible to list the various types of family: traditional, black family, single parent family, same sex parent, and the most common: a big family. But… My life is a bit different, I have a small family.

I always wanted to have a big family. My friends, in high school, always talked about their friendship with their cousins, about travel to Uncles or Aunt’s house. But, yes… My family is very small in São Paulo. Most of my relatives live in other states like Tocantins and Pernambuco. Although I have two cousins living next to me, we don’t have an approximation.

However, my family is basically me, my father and my brother. Absolutely everything, do together: travel, walk, go to the shopping mall, have lunch, run…. we’re very united. The wedding of my parents is very beautiful: they love each other so much. My brother is trying to enter medical school, the same phase I went through. He is my best friend, because we share all details of our personal lives with each other.

One “tradition” which we have is to have a barbecue in the new year and christmas. And I can’t forget: every birthday we sing a happy birthday song, take pictures and eat a cake… .make a “small party” with our small family, but which have a big love and big union. I love them
